Holly is a native of Waynesboro, Virginia where she started her basketball career. Her NCAA experience commenced at the University of Miami where she earned Big East Co-Rookie of the Year honors in 1992-93. She then transferred to James Madison University to be closer to her home in Waynesboro. When she left JMU, Holly was the school's all time leader in points scored and 3 point field goals made (both men's and women's). Holly's professional career took her to France, Germany and New Zealand and ended in the WNBA with the Phoenix Mercury.
